Commitment Statement

I am driven to seek solutions to the behavioral health inequities and social problems that exist in today's society, especially those challenges faced by people of color, LGBTQIA+ identified populations, and other marginalized populations.

My academic, teaching, and practice pursuits aim to develop relationships and strategies that shape relationships, systems, and individuals committed to compassion, community power, and human rights. As a scholar and researcher, I use quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods to advance these aims.

I will do my best to be rooted to the practices of compassion, joy, and truth.
